turn your make-up green

Easy ways to turn your makeup green

Hello my lovelies, happy Friday! Last night while I was out having a much-needed, post-work glass of sangria I overheard a couple of girls chatting about how they wanted to buy non-toxic makeup, but didn’t know where to start. Well! I just about hopped over to their table to give them a road map. But their conversation did make me realize though that, for those of us who haven’t fallen so far down the rabbit hole of green beauty cosmetics, it can be overwhelming.

So, if I was to time-machine myself back to when I was just starting to green my makeup bag here are the fail-proof basics I would tell myself to buy.

  1. kjaer weis mascara – yep it’s pricey, but it’s refillable, it works and never flakes. buy it and thank me later -here’s my review. ($44)
  2. rms beauty “un” cover-up – not only is it great for covering up dark circles, but you can mix it with your moisturizer to create your own foundation and it lasts forrrr-evah! ($36)
  3. alima pure satin matte blush -a natural, never over-done colour combined with a silky feeling that last most of the day makes this beauty a keeper ($23)
  4. ilia beauty lipsticks – hydrating, long-lasting and with several gorgeous colours, you can’t go wrong with whichever one you choose. ($30)

Blushers, thanks for joining me this week and have a great weekend! xo

Just recently purchased Kjaer Weis mascara and it truly is the best I have ever used. Not heavy, doesn’t flake, not a chore to remove and looks great!
Perfect list of makeup products to start the green journey.

    • yaay!! I’m THRILLED that you love it as much as I do 🙂 xo

  • Great post all of these products are a must! I would seriously love it if I overheard others talking about wanting to buy non-toxic makeup. It doesn’t happen often….so it would be a huge thrill for me!

    • thanks Amber! That was the first time I ever overheard people talking about clean makeup so the excitement was almost too much for me to handle, haha. thanks so much for saying hello, hope you have a wonderful weekend! xx
