Staring out into the ocean is one of my favourite things to do.

No matter what your mood is or how pre-occupied your mind is, aimlessly looking out at the waves can have this incredibly calming effect.

There’s something just fascinating about it!

And no wonder. It’s the most omnipresent substance on Earth and one of the primary supporting ingredients for life.

Your body is 70% saltwater, your brain is bathed in saltwater and even neurons fire because of salt level changes in the brain.

My recent ‘ocean therapy’ trip to Vancouver and California definitely fed the need vitamin sea and I can’t wait to plan another beach-side getaway!

  • Gah! Although I’m in the same boat; the volume of trips to the sea or pool has been seriously lacking and it doesn’t help that this summer is just starting to heat up.

    Hopefully before summer’s up we both to get the chance to be mermaids a lot more often! xo
