{spotlight} hand jewellery

alexander mcqueen silver ivy hand jewelry

Hand jewellery has been popping up a lot lately, most notably at Paris Fashion Week in the Alexander McQueen Autumn Winter 2014 collection, and while I’ve never given it much thought the ornate and elaborate design of the McQueen option made me pause to think about it some more. Like a cocktail ring hand jewellery is your statement piece and while I don’t think my personality fits something as bold as Sarah Burton’s silver ivy creation it has sparked a desire in me to find something more subtle, but equally as stunning, to debut once patio weather begins. Although that feels so far away, non?

  • Well, wouldn’t it be nice if this became a trend?
I have always been a believer in crazy jewellery, so hand jewellery, jointed armour rings, forehead tiaras… just looking into history and fishing what whatever nobody round me would wear 😀

Anyway, these days I’m more concerned with the eco print of my jewels that with anything else, and I must say: there’s a deficiency. There’s a lack. A gap. Though I have found ONE fine jeweller to offer ethical luxury. Soon on BC with an interview 😉

Yes, spring seems a distant memory and this hand jewellery needs sunny weather for sure! Fun

Yes, hand jewelry are in trend right now. I just purchased a little something the other day. But I’ve been stocking and lusting after a jewelry line that makes the most gorg pieces. Thinking about picking up a few pieces for our trip to the Caribbean this summer. http://www.HaatiChai.com. Let me know what you think.
