{review} graydon ‘the balm’

Each year, the start of sandal season gives me major anxiety. Why? Because I have psoriasis on the back of my heels and am extremely embarrassed to have any one else witness it. I slathered on prescription creams for years and, on the advice of my nautropath, tried controlling it through diet, but nothing worked. So what’s a girl to do?

Then, quite by accident, I discovered The Balm by Graydon Clinical Luxury by Nature.

I met Graydon awhile back and she generously provided me with samples of her best sellers (click here for my review of her Green Cream). She mentioned The Balm, in addition to being a face and body moisturizer, could help treat skin conditions, but ever cynical when it comes to my psoriasis, my mind glazed over it. Light in texture, non-greasy and fast absorbing I rubbed it on twice a day and hoped for the best. Dear god it started to work.

How?! Hoooowww was this little beauty working when all other treatment options failed? Well, I’m going to tell you how. First of all, it has an all-star line-up of ingredients including aloe vera juice, avocado, coconut, chamomile and carrot seed oils, calendula and helichrysum that are reputed to heal skin conditions, like psoriasis, because of an ability to stimulate cell growth, soothe redness and irritation and repair damaged skin. In addition it contains seabuckthorn, the richest known source of omega-7, that tirelessly works to boost collagen, help the skin retain moisture and protect it against sun damage, toxins and environmental stress.

So far it’s cleared up 90% of the dryness and itchiness (after about 3 weeks, applying 2x per day), but I must preface my psoriasis is moderate-to-sometimes-severe – however, if you’ve been reading this post feeling like I’m reciting back your own story then I urge you to consider The Balm. You never know, it could work for you too!

*Sample generously provided, but as always all opinions are my own!

Big Pharma would not be happy to hear of such great results from a non-prescription product. How wonderful to see a 90% improvement in your psoriasis after years of dealing with it. YAY!!
