{review} jacq’s organics sweet orange face serum

jacqs organics sweet orange face serum

As you know I’m more than a little obsessed with face oils, and the power of hydration they bestow wherever they go, so when Barbara of Jacq’s Organics asked me to sample her serum I quickly hammered out an enthusiastic reply on my iPhone. Her serums are created using high-quality, highly effective ingredients with no unnecessary fillers; plus she looks to be one of the happiest people out there (click here to see what I mean) so I’m pretty sure all of her creations are made with oodles of love and cheery energy.

ingredients: apricot kernel oil, carrot seed oil, rosehip seed oil, sweet almond oil, aloe barbadensis extract, sweet orange oil, vitamin E

All of these ingredients work together to help improve skin tone, increase collagen production (yippee! unless of course you’re 15 and don’t need it and then I can’t even talk to you), keep wrinkles at bay, fight pesky free radicals and restore nutrients. But the true star of this serum is the carrot seed oil. Highly underrated, it has soft earthy smell that calms the mind of stress and works to detoxify, stimulate and rejuvenate the skin in general.

price: $28 for 2oz

where to buy: online, here

performance: I freely admit I didn’t know quite what to expect when I first opened the bottle, as I had never experienced anything from this brand before, but after a few applications I was sold.

Light in texture, easy to massage into your skin and quick to absorb, the sweet scents of apricot and orange provide an uplifting finish -which is so appreciated in the morning as I struggle to wake my mind up. Plus, it really delivered on what the ingredients promised to do. Even with the winter winds whipping around outside my skin didn’t feel like it was having the moisture, and life, sucked right out of it.

Soft, smooth and hydrated skin can really start your day off on such the right note, non?

Pretty hard to resist a face oil that performed well during these -40 degree days we’ve been having. Plus, that’s a very impressive list of ingredients!
