{review} elabloom nourishing body oil

elabloom body oil

There comes a point towards the end of the day where you just can’t answer one more email, phone call or deal with people swinging by your desk to ask you a question you’re pretty sure you answered in a previous email.

And so I don’t.

There are much better things waiting for me at home, like a delicious glass of vino, an episode of The Mindy Project, planning my next blog post or setting up the bathroom to indulge in girly bath time.

Guys, I don’t know about you, but bath time is sacred. I spend time planning which bath soak and body scrub to whip up and what body oil I’m going to adorn my skin with that will leave it feeling like buttah. Too girly and time-consuming? Nah. The little things are what life’s all about.

It’s no secret I’m obsessed with body/facial oils so when I heard Elabloom, a Toronto brand I’ve had my eye on for awhile, was going to be at last weekend’s Eco Beauty Market, well I became a little excited with anticipation.

Elabloom handcrafts their products twice a month on ‘bloom dates‘ to ensure absolute freshness and are made with 100% pure and natural botanical extracts. There’s nothing in their oil blends that I wouldn’t put on a newborn baby’s skin so I bought trial sizes of both their Nourishing Body Oil and Facial Oil to see if my skin would be as excited about them as my mind was.  I typically take 4-6 weeks to test a new facial oil so that review will come later. For now let’s dish about the body oil.

ingredients: apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, certified organic argan oil, neroli oil, lavender oil, geranium oil  (click here to learn more about each ingredient)

scent: ahh if only I could shove this bottle through the computer and under your nose so you could experience how intoxicatingly beautiful it is! Neroli is queen bee here so if that’s not your lady jam you’ll won’t be nerdy-excited as I am, but if it is you’re in for a real treat!

performance: you can definitely tell high-quality ingredients were used here. From the texture, scent and the way it melted into your skin (remember to apply to damp skin!) and left it feeling cashmere-soft this body oil is worth checking out.

price: $34 (240 ml / 8 fl. oz)

I think they’re only available online – apart from this beauty market I haven’t seen them anywhere in retail. But you can email them here to find out! customercare@elabloom.com
