review: BITE Beauty lip pencil

lifeinblush.com

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend! Warm weather has finally arrived in Toronto and all I wanted to do this weekend was be outside. To mark the start of summer, and shrug off winter, I couldn’t think of a more fitting lip colour to wear than BITE Beauty’s ‘Corvina’ – it gives my face such a great punch of colour! (click here for purchase info)

BITE Beauty, a relatively new player on the green beauty scene from Toronto, has created a niche line of lip colours that contains the equivalent amount of resveratrol (an antioxidant that slows the signs of aging) as found in 5 glasses of wine. Apart from being formulated with food-grade ingredients that are highly nourishing and hydrating (i.e. organic oils and fruit butters), the key thing to note is the lack of petroleum by-products and synthetic chemicals – which makes a huge difference when you consider the thin tissue of our lips absorb everything we put on them.

I love this lipstick not only because it’s green and I’m helping to support a local company, but because it’s HIGHLY pigmented, which means you don’t have to constantly re-apply it. This little beauty lasted throughout the day, even after my boyfriend and I stopped to enjoy a patio lunch. Looks like my make-up bag is getting a new staple addition!

The product info link gives a very impressive tally of what chemicals are not found in Bite lipstick. A lipstick you can actually wear without a worry….BONUS!
