loverly & green beauty for the winter bride

loverly and life in blush winter bride green beauty collaboration

When I flip through magazines I spend a good majority of my time mentally recreating a model’s look with non-toxic cosmetic options.

This also happens when I’m waiting for friends and people watching.

So when Loverly, a one-stop-shop for wedding planning created by a former maid of honour and her team of former bridesmaids and groomsmen, approached me to pick any bridal dress I wanted and stylize the makeup my ‘oh hell yeah’ response was a no-brainer.

The Bridal Boutique contains over 1,800 gowns, but I didn’t need to sift through them all. I already had my sights on one designer – Monique Lhuillier.  And this was the gown that captured my artistic imagination.

If I was stylizing the bride wearing this ethereal gown, here is the look I would create:

  1. Use Kjaer WeisCloud Nine‘ on the base of the eye
  2. Add Kjaer WeisEarthy Calm‘ in the crease to add depth. Use a light hand though as the focus of this look is meant to draw your attention to the blood red lip. You can also use Earthy Calm to fill in your eyebrows and contour your cheekbones. Multi-purpose? Hell yeah!
  3. Create a dark, dramatic eyeliner using Alima Pure satin matte liner in ‘black
  4. Give oomph to your lashes with Ilia Beauty mascara in ‘Nightfall
  5. Anoint your face with a little shimmer using Kjaer WeisRadiance‘ cream highlighter on your brow bone

6. Create a classic rosy flush with Kari Gran mineral blush

7. Conceal any blemishes, under eye darkness with Studio 78 Paris Off We Go

8. Juxtapose the angelic image created here with the white dress and soft makeup by pairing a true red lipstick with it. I love NūdusRevenge‘ for this seductive, yet timeless look.

  • Pretty! I’ve heard so many good things about KW’s highlighter.

  • Gina S

such a great list! Thank you for this!

    • You’re welcome! Thanks for saying hi Gina! xx

  • Gorgeous dress and makeup look! I’m definitely hoping I can try more Kjaer Weis products, Kari Gran, and Nūdus.

    • I’m so in love with that dress! I want to ignore the fact that it’s for a wedding and find a winter ball to wear it too 😉 What KW products have you tried so far? xo

      • I’ve been guilty of wearing a bridesmaid dress to a fancier occasion before. And I have the pleasure of trying KW’s mascara, foundation (however it was as a gift, and it was accidentally the wrong color), and I have a sample of their gorgeous lip tint in Lover’s Choice.
