fall 2014 fashion trends

runway trends for fall 2014

This past weekend in Toronto was absolutely gorgeous and while that may have lured me into a false sense of summer weather security I can’t help but start to think of my fall wardrobe, especially when I feel as if stores are going to whip out their inventory of winter coats at any moment.

This year, the prominent trends for fall are to trade in your biker jacket for a cozy shearling, to ignore any sort of polar vortex with bright hues, to channel the swinging sixties and embrace graphic prints, to spice up the evening with a sheer little number and to settle into long cold nights with comfortingly soft knits.

How about you blushers?

Or do the mere words “fall fashion” enrage you right now?

  • I’m excited to play around with the different prints and textures, but keeping it with a simple color palette to keep it from looking too heavy-handed. Fall is my favorite season!

    • Me too! I love the idea of juxtaposing masculine and feminine textures, like a leather top and chiffon skirt. Fall is going to be a great season to get creative!

      • Definitely! I’ve always loved getting expiremental with different styles. 🙂
